Hi, folks. I’ll have to split at 12:30 pm for an SATW/ACA meeting but will enjoy this event as long as I can.

I've never thought of interviewing my taxi driver! Though I do always quiz them on the best pizza locations, like 100% of the time. Clearly my stomach sets my priorities.

Chris’ comment about being bold as an interviewer makes me recall a feature opportunity years ago when Elvis Presley was coming to Dayton, Ohio, for a concert. My assignment was to call maternity nurses to ask whether any dedicated fans had named their newborns “Elvis” that day. It was awkward at first but fun as it went along.

Martha Chapman

What about the person who uses poor grammar? If you correct it, it's not an "honest" quote, but if you use it verbatim you may sound patronizing?
Christine
49:23
I’ve never had any person upset with me for fixing poor grammar. No one wants to sound silly. A travel story isn’t a hard news story about nuclear proliferation.
